Gonadonax 5000 (choriogonadotropin alfa) is a drug that contains human gonadotropic hormone (hCG) and is usually used in medicine to support fertility in women and men. In sports, pregnyl has potential use in the context of doping, and for this reason has been considered a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Pregnyl can be used as a medication to avoid the side effects associated with the use of anabolic and androgenic steroids. In some cases, athletes, especially those involved in bodybuilding and weightlifting, use anabolic steroids to increase muscle mass and physical performance. However, the use of these substances can disrupt the body’s natural production of sex hormones, which can result in a drop in testosterone levels and fertility problems.

In such a situation, some athletes choose to use pregnyl to stimulate endogenous testosterone production and return hormonal function to normal after anabolic steroid use.
